"From Grenoble, three-man collective Cellule d'Intervention Metamkine received a rapturous reception for their stunning display of industrial abstractionism. Utilising 16mm projectors, reel-to-reel tape manipulation of sound and vintage analogue equipment, they conspired to create a dark alchemy of sound and vision. Images were densely overlaid and processed, while the heavily amplified whirring of the onstage equipment progressively enveloped the hall. There was little these guys wouldn't do, even allowing their stark film loops to disintegrate and burn w hile still running through the projector."
